When Growth Gets Hard - Enduring the Heat

7/5/26

ENGAGEMENT:

• What is your dry and parched land right now? Not the crisis you’d rally for, but the long accumulation-the heat that hasn't broken.

• When Elijah collapsed under the tree, God didn't correct him-God let him sleep, brought him bread and water, and let him sleep again. Care before words. Body before soul. What makes it hard to let yourself simply be cared for before you're asked to produce anything?

• We heard that rest itself can be an act of hope-that to lie down is to trust the season will turn, that your worth was never in your output to begin with. Where is that hard for you to believe? What would change in you if you trusted that your world will hold together for a while without you carrying it?
