Engagement questions:

• What are the jars you carry? Do any of them mask or hide a greater thirst or longing?

• For the woman, the jar was fused with her isolation. Is your jar carrying something heavier than it appears - a loneliness, a history, a current struggle, a story you've organized your life around?

• "Sir, give me this water, so that I may never be thirsty or have to keep coming here to draw water." — John 4:15. If Jesus were to ask you, "What are you tired of coming back to?" How would you answer?
