THROW SEED, TRUST GOD

Alongsiders intention for 2026 is to “Throw Seed, Trust God”. Looking at the famous parable from Mark 4, Luke 8 and Matthew 13, we are going to focus not only on the soil, which is important as Jesus talks much about the soil, but also on the sower–particularly the sowers generosity. The sower doesn’t seem to care how the seed lands, the sower is not anxious about outcomes. The sower throws, and then trusts that God will do what God does with the seed wherever it may fall. We invite you into a generous, unguarded, trusting life this year. We invite you to ask “What seed have I been given?” and we then encourage you to throw it generously out into the world.
